Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

1 - What does ROL mean?
ROL is a free 24/7 online service which allows the patients who are registered in the local healthcare service to visualize and print the medical reports from their own PC, avoiding the inconvenience of collecting the printed report at the front office.

2 - What are the reports I can download?
At the moment the reports related to following services are available to be downloaded with ROL:

  • Services carried out at the ANALYSIS LAB (microbiology included);
  • Services carried out with the IMAGE-DIAGNOSTIC-SERVICE (Rx, Tac, MRI, Ultrasounds whose online availability is indicated on the withdrawal report you received before the medical examination).
The reports regarding HIV exams will have to be collected personally by the patient following the rules of the Privacy policy at the centre where the exam took place.

3 - How do I access ROL?
In the login display of this Internet page you have to insert following data: fiscal code, health service card number and TOKEN.

4 - As a parent/tutor of a minor that attended an exam in lab or radiology, I have subscribed to the service signing the agreement: how do I have to proceed to visualize the report?
With the data belonging to the minor (fiscal code, health service card number and TOKEN) you can access the gate for the visualization of the report even if concerning minors.

5 - When is the report available?
The report is available starting from the date quoted on the withdrawal report you received before the medical examination. Before that date, the report may be already available, depending on the reporting times.

6 - Can the reports be printed/saved on my PC?
Surely, the report being in PDF format, it can easily be saved on the PC and printed using specific keys on the tool-board of Adobe above the report.

7 - How do I have to behave if during the consultation of the report appears the warning “file damaged”?
It implies that you are using an old version of Adobe Acrobat Reader: therefore it is necessary to proceed to installation of Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 or other newer versions available on this website: https://get.adobe.com/reader/?loc=en.

8 - Why is my report not listed?
If the report is not listed, it means that it is not available yet. If few days have passed from the presumed date of the elaboration, please address directly to the lab that carried out the exam.

9 - The report should be available today, but is not available online yet: why?
The report is available when complete in every part. Sometimes more time than normal is required for certain exams.

10 - Why is my report listed but I am not able to read it?
In order to consult the medical report it is necessary to install an operating version of Adobe Acrobat Reader on the own PC. The program is free to download and available on: https://get.adobe.com/reader/?loc=en. Once the program is installed, it is possible to display the report just by clicking on the icon of the required report and proceeding to the download.

11 - Is my report safe?
Each medical report is available on a safe website that is controlled by the local healthcare service by the use of safety procedures. Furthermore, in order to access the report, it is necessary to type in the TOKEN owned exclusively by the patient, who carried out the taking of a blood sample or x-ray examination. The report is safe and it is equally valuable as the printed report. Nobody else can access it. The downloaded report is legally fully effective, because it is digitally signed following the applicable regulations. The document, which is stored in the digital archive of the local healthcare service, is protected respectively the legal obligations. It is not possible to manipulate the document in any way.

12 - What does it mean that my report is classified “obscured” or “reserved”?
The report can’t be displayed online with this two classifications, but it is necessary to appear at the service that carried out the exam to obtain the printed copy of the report.

13 - If I access to my report online, am I forced to collect it printed at the counter?
No, the consultation of the report through ROL absolutely substitutes the printed copy. It is not necessary anymore to collect the printed report, and you will not incur financial penalties in case of missing withdrawal.

14 - I have lost the sheet with my TOKEN: what to do?
It is not possible to reprint the TOKEN, but it is necessary to appear at the service, so as to obtain the report on paper.

15 - For how much time does the TOKEN last?
According to the current policy, the results of the exams will be available on the Internet within 45 days starting from the date of the availability. After that date, they won’t be visible anymore. The TOKEN can be used multiple times during the 45 days period to view any report related to access to the lab or to radiology.

16 - When obtained the TOKEN, can I display reports related to other exams?
No, a new TOKEN is generated for every access to the lab or radiology and is therefore restricted to one defined requested service, therefore it is not possible to use it for visualizing reports related to other accesses.

17 - What happens if I do not access to the report within 45 days of validity of the TOKEN?
If the report is not consulted via Internet and is not withdrawn at the front office, the policy regarding the missing withdrawal stays in force (art. 4, comma 18, L.412/91 and art. 1, comma 796, L.296/2006), therefore, after 90 days from the scheduled date of delivery without any displaying on the Internet, nor withdrawal at the front office, the user is obliged to foot the service entirely, even if exempt.

18 - In case of occurred inability at the withdrawal within 90 days, am I obliged to pay the service entirely?
If the report is not consulted via Internet and is not withdrawn at the front office, the policy regarding the missing withdrawal stays in force (art. 4, comma 18, L.412/91 and art. 1, comma 796, L.296/2006), therefore, after 90 days from the scheduled date of delivery without any displaying on the Internet, nor withdrawal at the front office, the user is obliged to foot the service entirely, even if exempt.

19 - I don't want my reports to be online: what can I do?
If you do not want to download the report online, you do not require the TOKEN at the reception and everything remains as it was with the withdrawal of the printed report. However, if you asked for the TOKEN but you then changed your mind, you can eliminate the little sheet with the TOKEN and let 45 days pass: this way there won’t be any trace of the report online. However, you will have to appear at the withdrawal centre in order to get your paper report.

20 - When I try to download a report, a blank page with the message "Dokument nicht verfügbar - documento non disponibile" appears: what can I do?
If the report is referring to services not yet (totally or partially) paid, it is not possible to view it. In this case, besides the reports, there are two more records in the list of the documents: the first record is the invoice with the amount to pay, whereas the second one is the payment notice. Both documents can be downloaded and printed. With the payment notice, it is possible to pay through a Payment Service Provider (PSP). Furthermore, there is a button "Pay now" that leads to the website of Alto Adige Riscossioni where it is possible to pay immediately. ight after the payment has been successfully executed, it is possible to download the report.
Please note that, if paying via bank transfer, the payment confirmation might take a few days to be processed.
